Denmark’s intelligence service warned Thursday that Russia would escalate its hybrid warfare campaign against the West in coming months, citing a “low but growing risk” of direct attack by Moscow.
Denmark’s intel chief said the aim of such an attack is “not to take over the country, but to divide NATO” at a time of heightened friction between Europe and the US; Washington has downplayed the possibility of Russian attacks.
