Pushing the limits of infinity

The 2018 documentary follows the late Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, who died this month at the age of 97, from her conservative upbringing in Nagano, through her emergence as one of the mid-20th century’s leading artists, to her startling 1977 decision to live out the rest of her days in a Tokyo psychiatric hospital.
